Your address and phone number
If you change your address or phone number permanently, please let us know immediately. You can do this on Track or by contacting our Customer Service Unit. We will let your universities or colleges know, but if you are expecting any urgent letters from them, you may also want to tell them yourself. Remember to make arrangements to redirect your mail so that you receive any correspondence that has already been posted to you.
If you are using a different address during term time, please make sure that you change your address to your home or your new address at the end of the summer term.
Your email address
If you change your email address, please let us know
immediately by amending it on Track. We will verify
your new address by sending you an email that contains a verification code.
You will need to enter this verification code into Track to confirm that
the email address is correct.
Choice of course, year or point of entry
If you are happy with your choice of university or college but you want to change your course, defer your application for a year or change the point of entry, you should write to the college or university direct, not to us. If the university or college agrees, they will tell us about the change. If we have already sent you an offer for your original choice, we will change it and the new offer will be displayed on Track.
Choice of university or college
You can change a university or college choice on Track within 14 days from us sending you a welcome letter, as long as you contact us before 30 June 2009. You cannot normally change your university or college after 14 days. If there are exceptional reasons, such as a change in your family circumstances or any personal problems, you should ask your referee to write to us, explaining the situation and recommending that you are allowed to make the change. Your referee should include details of the proposed change(s) in the letter.
Cancel a choice
You can cancel an individual choice as long as the university or college has not sent us a decision. You can cancel a choice using Track.
Art and design applications
Route A choices: you can change the university or college choice on Track within 14 days from us sending you a welcome letter, as long as you contact us before 30 June 2009. If you want to change your course, defer your application for a year or change the point of entry, you should write to the college or university direct, not to us. A Route A choice can only be changed to another Route A choice.
Route B choices: a Route B choice can only be changed to another Route B choice. This is only possible if the original choice has not been sent to the university or college to consider. A Route B choice cannot be amended to a Route A choice at any time.
Single-choice applications
If you only made one choice on your original application and paid the reduced amount of £7, you can add more if you pay an extra £10, as long as you have not already accepted or declined an offer. You can add choices until 30 June 2009 (11 June 2009 for Route B art & design applications). Please go to Track to add your new choices and pay the additional application fee.
Adding more choices
If you originally applied to fewer than five choices, you can add more choices as long as you have not accepted or declined your offers. You can add any further choices until 30 June 2009 (11 June 2009 for Route B art and design applications). You can add new courses on Track.
Changes in exams and course arrangements
You must write to us immediately if your exam subjects, modules or units, awarding or examining board, centre number or any other details change. You must also tell the universities or colleges where you hold offers or those that are still considering your application.
Universities or colleges usually base their conditional offers on your exam details. If your details change, they may change their offers or decisions.
If a university or college cannot confirm your exam results because they do not have enough information, they may not be able to offer you a place. Remember to tell us and the university or college immediately if anything changes.
Accident, illness or personal problems that affect your exam results
If you suffer an accident, illness or a personal problem that could affect your results, you should write to each university or college that is considering your application to explain. Please include a supporting letter from your school or other authority and, in medical cases, from your doctor. You should send the details as soon as possible after the problem has arisen. Do not wait until your exam results arrive.

Cancelling your application
If you want to cancel your application and receive a refund of your application fee, you must call our Customer Service Unit within 14 days from the date on your welcome letter (we send this letter to you when we have processed your application). It is not possible to cancel your application in Track.
Withdrawing your application
If you no longer wish to continue with your application, you can withdraw your application at any time in Track or by phoning our Customer Service Unit. If you withdraw your application, you will not receive a refund. You will not be able to submit another application during this academic year and you cannot go through Clearing.
If you have withdrawn from the scheme but, for exceptional reasons, you want to re-enter it, please contact us for advice.
